Oni wat article tih skia lawak?
Today I have found, what I think is one of the many funny (the word 'funny' here does not implicate a deliberate joke) articles that has ever graced the pages of the Borneo Post. In truth, this time it's on the front page. Which article am I talking about? It's this one:
The aforementioned article...ignore the people in the pictures |
Now I am personally not a political radicalist or someone who's interested in active politics at all, but after reading this..I wonder of our own politician's are interested in politics as well. Note the following quote:
Hahahaha! Too political?? What is that? And what is it even suppose to mean? This is politics we are talking about here and the place in mention is the DUN! If it's a mamak stall, yeah, you can probably say a conversation between friends can go out of hand and become 'too political' for their own good. But in the state assembly, of course things are going to get too political! Everything is politisized when you're in there.
Laaa, mun dah menceburkan diri dalam politik, kena expect la semua benda jadi bahan kepolitikan. Lagipun, dah la DUN ya memang pusat politik negeri Sarawak tok, nak ka memang sia tempat orang patut berpolitik pun, bukankah orang-orang nok dudok di dalam ya bergelar ahli politik semuanya? Sik kan sidak ya jual aiskrim kot dalam ya? Anyway, mun dah bergelar pambangkang, ingat sidak ya attend DUN maok aok-aok kan ajak semua benda? Memang la sidak ya akan tiau macam-macam, jadi from the day seseorang ya decide maok jadi politician nya dah kena terima hakikat ya.
Ayat yang diquote di atas ya sebenarnya adalah sesuatu yang seakan-akan contradictory. If the person making the statement was a someone who was absolutely ignorant about politics (like a primary schooler), then fine..maybe there wouldn't be anything funny about it.
But awh man, tok seolah-olah, "Rilek gilak kah seating-seating DUN sebelum-sebelum tok?" THAT is the question that pops in the reader's mind after he or she reads that article. The weakness of the article just too obvious and it puts an impression that our politicians are just so naive about politics (when they are actually not...I hope, certainly don't want primary schoolers to run our state, right?).
Imagine for a second, jika dibawa ke dalam konteks dan environment lain, ia seakan-akan macam tok lah bunyi atau impression nya:
Seorang askar terlatih di medan perang:
“We also need to know how we must handle the enemy because it can become a war out there (in the frontline).” - dah nama berperang, memang kat luar sia tengah war pun.
Seorang nelayan berpengalaman di laut:
“We also need to know how we must handle the boat because it can become a storm out there (at sea).” - dah nama nelayan pun, mesti la tau embak bot, mun sik iboh jak gi tangkap ikan, lagipun dah nama nelayan, memang la carik ikan kat laut bergelora, sik kan carik kat Sungai Karap kot (mun sik paham maksud aku tok, tolong baca blog aku berjudul Green River)?
Dan antara nok polah aku gelak paling kuat adalah, sidak ya semua kena berkursus la plak. Tau pun takut...hahahaha. Kursus ya pasti bertajuk, "1001 Cara Untuk Cover Line Soalan Pembangkang". If everything is in justifiable order, sik perlu la maok berkursus kursus sampe tiga hari nak? Nampak gilak kot ada nok sik buka file gik lekak menang election ari ya...patut tahun lepas ada nok kena tangkap PM berbulak nak?
Yeah, those things were hilarious to read..but I can't believe that in was published IN THAT WAY? The article was like, defining a cat by saying it's got wings and quacks! The article immediately gave me the impression exactly the way I explained above, and poor Borneo Post couldn't do anything about it coz its already in print. Kesian....
But anyway, a huge thank you to the Borneo Post for giving me something to smile about today. Keep up the good work th...hi..hihih... (add a sinister smile here) and I can't wait for Maharaja Lawak (Edisi Borneo Post) part 2!!!
I doubt I'll be waiting too long.

Hahaha...thanks 4 d' comments Pom & Anonymous! Nang sebarang jang pembawaan laporan sidak ya.
ReplyDeleteif i read something bout politic... suddenly my heart move my brain (or otherwise) .. transform myself into "STAN" (one of the character) in the SOUTH PARK MUSICAL MOVIE - LONGER, BETTER n UNCUT (betul kah sik tajuk movie tok... tapi lebih kuranglah)...
ReplyDeletekadang-kadang... this people... i mean the journalist n politicians (terutamanya those BN people) talking / berceramah / buat statement / tulis / write / cakap / blogging / facebooking.... the assume that we (rakyat)masih "bodoh" lagi... as if that we (rakyat) tidak ada otak.... the simply speak the "stupidest" thing in the history of mankind...
kami ada otak la... kami pandai baca hasil dari sekolah yang kamu orang sediakan untuk kami... betul tak... apa kamu kata kami faham... kami nilai...
u see... politic is not for me... if politic is the subject... saya berterabur... even the simplest sentence pun saya tidak dapat susun... n i will merapu most... but the point is... those politician think that they r the most "brainy" creature on eart... n they r the "UNCLE FUCKER" big time...
one more thing... now they try to unite politics with religion... n i dont know what is the correct terms / word to describe that unHOLY unity... POLITICS N RELIGIONS... fuck politicians... dont mess this two things.. coz u should govern ur earthly goverment according to your law... dont mix it with the DIVINE thing... coz
grr.... i better stop b4 nobody understand what my politic motivated tounge is spitting... hahahaha... GOD BLESS MALAYSIA....
You are absolutely right Ot@k_celup@r!!!
ReplyDeleteI've actually tried to stay away from the political aspects of things, especially when I wanted to write that blog. But even at its most toned down write-up...I still couldn't help but think that we was stated in the article as total c**p! One thing's for sure is that politics is degraded beyond repair in Sarawak!
Thanks for the comment!
